GP Telecom (GPT) has invested heavily in engineering, spares and equipment
support. This, coupled with the benefit of a human face and a responsive
attitude, ensures our service is second to none. This is fundamental to our
client care philosophy. Most current systems include a modem for remote
connection – this enables us to access the system quickly to make an initial
diagnosis.
We offer a range of contracts which include the following:
Monday to Friday - 16 Hr response
Monday to Friday - 8 Hr response
Monday to Friday - 4 Hr response
Monday to Saturday - 8 Hr response
Monday to Saturday - 4 Hr response
24 Hours, 365 Days a Year Cover - 4 hour response
Remote Access
Most current systems have the capability to be accessed remotely via a secure
modem. This means that, in the event of a problem we can ascertain where the
problem lies and make a diagnosis as quickly as possible. The same method can
be used if you need us to make programming changes.

In the event of a loss of your telecoms service you simply divert your main
telephone lines to the pre-supplied emergency IVR number. A call plan can be
built around this emergency number.
This call plan might involve routing to a branch office, an emergency call
centre or even a mobile phone. Callers can still contact you and business can
therefore continue as normal.
The call routing can be performed via any touch tone telephone allowing you, or
us, to activate this at any time of the day or night and PIN access guarantees
security.
Outsourced facility to answer incoming calls
Through our call centre based in Lancashire, we can answer calls on your behalf
in the event of an incident. This takes the immediate pressure of you and gives
you the time needed to make alternative long-term arrangements, safe in the
knowledge that incoming calls are being answered and no vital relationships are
suffering.
UPS (uninterrupted power supply)
Problems with power – be it total failure or just a spike, can cause irreparable
damage to telephone systems and IT servers. A UPS positioned between your
equipment and the mains can ‘clean’ the power i.e. eliminate spikes, voltage
drops etc. In the event of a total failure it will power the equipment long
enough for you to perform a system shut down in the correct manner or even keep
you running depending on the specification.
